You've reached my page on The Bloodhound Gang!

The Bloodhound Gang has been one of my absolute favourite bands for many years. They're rude, crude and offensive, but they are also hillarious so I let them get away with it. Although some of their lyrics are a tad, riské, they are so clever and amusing that I don't even mind the fact that they are offending all that is good in this world. They aren't trying to offend anyone, or so they claim, they are just writing music to entertain themselves. They know they are a bunch of idiots, and they think it's funny when some people get so upset about such silly things. When you listen to their lyrics, they are just so hillarious, and they always tell some kind of story. Sure, in every story they tell they are offending someones race, gender or religion, but that's ok because if you can't laugh at yourself, who can you laugh at. And in the case of the Bloodhound Gang, they make fun of themselves more than anyone.

Besides their brilliantly clever lyrics, the music that the Bloodhound Gang pumps out is awesome. They are one of very few bands that I truly LOVE, and I could listen to them every single day of my life without getting bored with them. They are so unique in their sound, after all these years I still have not heard a band come even close to matching it. Maybe that's because no one cares to...I'm not sure.  They are so unique because they are not narrowed down into one distinct genré of music. Some of their songs are  rap(Boom), some are 80's inspired metal (Kid's in America),  some are techno (The Bad Touch), some are alternative rock (Ralph Wiggum)some are so bizarre I don't even know what category to put them in. For the most part I guess I would describe the Bloodhound Gang as having a very original sound, somewhere mixed between punk, alternative, rap and techno...with a little metal tossed in for flavour. They are also heavily influenced by the music and culture of the 80's being the time that they all grew up in. Most songs have some samples from 80's bands, from Duran Duran to Depeche Mode, R2-D2 sound clips and endless references to the 80's pop culture.

They are by far in my top 6 favourite bands of all time, my top 6 being NOFX,  Metallica, Depeche Mode, NIN, VAST, and the Bloodhound Gang. I may be forgetting one or two, and I love all those bands so much that they are all probably tied for my number one slot.

Ok so I'm going to tell you all about the night I met the Bloodhound Gang!

I had been waiting to see them for years, and I tell you all it was worth the wait! They were AWESOME live, so totally entertaining and they sounded great. The band is hilarious and they interact a lot with the audience while they play. They handed out coffee filters so we could all wear them on our heads, they picked people out of the crowd and offered them money to do stupid shit, Evil Jared even came out into the crowd and played his guitar while standing on the bar. It was awesome. Jimmy Pop is my favorite, and I've always been ashamed to admit that I have a crush on him. He isn't your typical studly guy, but he's funny as hell and clever and witty and that makes anyone sexy in my book. That's the reason I feel in love with Jason (but Jason is also cute as hell so woohoo for me!)!
Anyhoo, so Jimmy Pop was just awesome to watch, I was quite smitten I must say, as I watched him dance like a total white boy all over the stage. He really is very cute. He shook his butt all over the place, sang his heart out and was just so damn entertaining. Craig and I stole a couple of posters off the wall at the Phoenix, and we took them outside to try to get the band to sign them. We were so thrilled when we found out that the band was indeed out there. All of them were GREAT. They were happy to sign our posters, and very happy to have their pictures taken with me. I had my photo taken with everyone in the band, it was so great. I never in my life thought I'd get to meet them. It was the second most exciting thing to happen in my life (second only to when I got to headbang on stage with Metallica years ago). However as we were standing outside chatting away with the band, my own thoughts were focused on the fact that Jimmy Pop wasn't there! I was getting rather upset as time went on, and no JP. FINALLY, after about an hour of chatting with the rest of the band, Jimmy Pop showed up! The entire band was loaded, and Jimmy Pop was no exception. He came out and called me baby.
"Can you sign my poster?" I asked.
"Of course I can baby." He replied!
"Can I have my picture taken with you?" I tried to be cool about it...but I know I was blushing.
"Yeah baby, of course you can." He was so sweet! For my first photo he grabbed ahold of me and squished up against him and kissed the side of my head. I look like a git in the photo because I'm all squishy faced and laughing so hard-I was just so excited that Jimmy Pop was kissing me! So he said, 'Thanks Baby, and thanks so much for coming to the show.' And he gave me a hug and I wandered away, happier than hell!

So I stood at the back of the small crowd of people for a few moments while Jimmy Pop finished signing for the others. Finally it was down to just a few of us, so I started talking to Jimmy Pop again. He was so witty and intelligent, goofy and HILARIOUS. He was everything I expected him to be, but WAY better. So I asked him if I could have another photo taken with him, and he said, 'Of course you can Baby." And I giggled and asked him if I could kiss him on the cheek for the photo. Then he said, "I'll do you one better than that." And he kissed me on the lips! I was shocked but very thrilled about the whole situation. My friend Craig snapped the photo, and VOILA! Me and Jimmy Pop, smootching on film for the world to see. Then afterwards Jimmy Pop put his arm around me and asked to see the photos on my camera, and he was quite pleased with how our photo turned out. Then Craig said that he wanted a photo too, so Jimmy Pop grabbed him and kissed him on the lips too! HAHAHA It wasn't quite the same as when he kissed me, but it was funnier and awesome. Craig was terrified, but thought it was hillarious too. Then some other guy told Jimmy Pop he wanted a kiss too, so Jimmy Pop gave him a quick one as well, perfectly happy to oblige. I have to admit, I was so nervous about meeting the entire band, especially Jimmy Pop. I've always had a crush on him that I would never admit to anyone except my friend Dorothy. I never admitted it because The Bloodhound Gang is a bunch of pigs! Hehehe. Not usually the kind of guy I like. However I cannot resist a guy with a goofy, witty intelligent sense of humour, and Jimmy Pop has it! Besides, he's just absolutely adorable and I will be smiling for the rest of my life over that kiss! It was great!

Besides Jimmy Pop, the entire band was fabulous. Hanging out with them, I felt just like I was hanging out with a bunch of my buddies from home. They were not big headed in any way, and they didn't put on airs. They were just some bums hanging out after the show, and at first when Lupus came out I thought he was just one of the roadies! They don't look like rock stars, they don't act like rock stars (except on stage and with their drinking abilities) and they are just great guys.

I think the Bloodhound Gang is highly underrated and don't get the credit they deserve. They are one of the greatest bands ever and some of the nicest guy's I've ever met.

Here are some photos of that great night!

In order-Me and Jimmy Pop, Craig being kissed by Jimmy Pop, The first photo of Jimmy Pop and I taken that night by the tourbus, Evil Jared and I, right after the concert. This isn't the greatest photo because it was taken indoors and Craig couldn't see through the LCD screen, so he just snapped and hoped for the best! Good job considering. I remember he told me 'you don't want to get too close to me, I smell like Montreal.' HAHHA! Then we have a photo of Lupus and I, Q-Ball and I, and Willie the New Guy and myself. I have more photos but these were the best. I look like a turd in these pics though damnit, but I tell ya it was hard for me to remain calm enough to even look half decent.
